This is a series of ten map panels and shows the Development Areas for the county (the county’s equivalent to zoning). Townships, sections, parcels, major water bodies and major roads are shown for reference. This map series was adopted in March 2009 by the Mason County Commissioners and replaces the old Development Areas map. Final zoning determinations are made by the Planning Department.

This atlas is new for 2010. The atlas contains 27 regular and 26 detailed community maps. It also contains a map showing the various addressing districts in the county. The detailed community maps cover populated areas of the county like: Allyn, Belfair, Hoodsport, Shelton, Union and more. Other features included are: campgrounds, parks, schools, libraries, fire stations, road name index, map page quick finder and more. This atlas is not designed to be a guide for US Forest Service or Logging roads.
